About our Rates Idyll-by-the-Sea Two is a totally different house than
any in North Topsail Beach. We found a huge deep lot (481 feet; the largest oceanfront
lot in Ocean Sound Village)
with plenty of room and privacy, and designed this retreat with
every amenity in mind; We aim for a true five star rental experience, as experienced
in the best resorts.
Every piece in this house is handmade; either custom designed for the house
itself or a beautiful but functional antique. We have featherbeds, Italian
sheets and towels, robes, and all sorts of real, wonderful art. And we
pride ourselves on the care we take in our homes -- keeping maintenance up,
paying extra for the best managers and cleaners so the house stays
immaculate, etc.
We have vacation houses
in different parts of the country,
and cater to folks who are used to extremely high standards. Once people
discover us, they keep coming back. For example, in our
Seaside home, folks
came back year after year after year. Some of those Seaside regulars are now
booked into this North Topsail Idyll. One guest from Christmas this year in
another of our homes is booked into yet another of our houses for next
Christmas. We treasure loyal wonderful guests, and hope they feel like they
are using the beautiful vacation home of an absent friend - really - that is
our mission.
But this house is not for everybody, and we know that; just
like Marriott has everything from Fairfield Inns to Residence Inns to Ritz
Cartons in its chain. All are very nice, but not geared for the same
groups (and we have stayed at all three of those brands depending on what
need and purpose is at the time).
This is a direct quotation from one of our guests this past August at another
one of our homes:
"5 Star Rental accommodations. This house was by far the most pleasant,
CLEAN, user friendly home we have come across to date. As designer or
'Art Director' for an upscale quarterly magazine, I get to see a lot of
homes all over the world. Most of the homes that we showcase are for sale,
not for rent. But if there is ever a slot for a 'how to' set up rental
properties, this home should be the bible."
